  • Thai cave tragedy directed me to this

  • wow in-genius!

  • How did they communicate their plans for rescue to the miners before contact was established ?

  • this is so cool well done who ever new all of this

  • Cant imagine how'd they get there...

  • Isn't this a true story movie? Where they found a big gold 5 times bigger than them?

  • Good thing none of the miners was Obese..

  • If they drilled two holes right next to each other wouldn't the dirt in between have a chance to collapse that's just confusing

  • wow the entire month of September passed without them.

  • 35 inch's ??? wtf my waist size is 38!!!!! i would have been dead if i was there

  • Hello!

  • I bet it would suck if they had claustrophobia

  • I am very instrested in this because i was too yong to remember this.

  • better life with minecraft

  • Funny how the media ignores the torture and genocide of innocent white people in South Africa. Also funny how black South Africans murder innocent white people, then they turn around and immigrate to European nations so they can work for white businesses, drive German-built BMWs, and marry white women. SICK. Hundreds of thousands of white men died fighting in the Civil War to free black slaves, whites donate more money to starving Africans every year than any other race, and whites invented most of the modern medicines that save millions of Africans every year from diseases like malaria and ebola, but evil blacks just continue brutally murdering us. It's time to start FIGHTING BACK!!!!!

  • NO DYNAMITE WAS USED

  • you got a lot of that wrong

  • it has a movie lead by antonio banderas

  • Wena kbroz

  • To be honest the Thai cave rescue was way more exciting Still though, pretty amazing miners

    • You need to see the movie called "33" It's about this event and it was sad to watch

  • They loved like Kings down there food water excercise

  • 100ft per day

  • They were strip mining diamonds on y-11

  • I love to watch grown men drill minors

  • why didn't they expand food hole?

  • so "chile"y in there

  • When ur chilean watching this and see 0 comments in spanish

  • If it were Minecraft, the cave would’ve collapsed by gravel and a torch.

  • Thailand cave situation on steroids

  • This was one of the biggest events of my entire lifetime, i remember seeing those last few miners come back up in that tiny pod. It was amazing to see.

  • nice!!!

  • We're hiring no experience nesessasry apply within

  • i remember seeing this on the news years ago. i was too young to understand

    • i think i might have too, although it might have been similar in australia

  • Imagine being the last miner to be rescued and you're left waiting in a dark cave.

  • Its amazing how history repeats itself.

  • How much you want to bet if the president was down their, they would've gotten im out the first hour.

    • They would react quicker maybe? The information would've been transfered faster, but the process would've taken the same amount of time.

  • Who's here after the Thai cave rescue

  • The miners they’re alone now nobody’s speaks about them Greetings from Chile

  • Amazing!

  • Soon Elon Musk will have perfected his tools and we will be able to call upon the Boring Company when times like these strike!

    • BITSTR3AM3R save drilling for the experts. Center rock in Pennsylvania designed a down hole hammer designed to follow a pilot hole and some 1 in a trillion drillers from Layne Christensen pulled this shit off. It wasn't the technology though. It was those drillers.

  • Two words: Bunker Buster.

  • Minecraft got them good

  • It ended before i was ready!

  • Why is this video in my Recommended? This was 7 years ago.

    • Alfonso Ivan A. Benitez probably as it’s along the same lines of the rescue mission of the trapped Thai kids

  • No gold yet!

  • HELL NO!

  • I would’ve lost my shit I don’t like the feeling about sitting in a box for weeks and just the fact that about being under tons of rock and could be crushed any moment

  • Was there ever any issue with Nitrogen in the blood of the miners..?

  • I remember going to see the movie. Was a good movie 3.8/5

  • Well Government and great rescue team 👍

  • WHY THE HELL ARE THERE NO WOMEN HERE??? DON'T THEY WANT GENDER EQUALITY HERE? #hypocriteFeminism

    • What even is the point of this?

    • WOOOSH

    • TommyTom21 snap this is going in my cringe collection lmao

    • TommyTom21 ok...

    • Snuv woooooooooosh

  • Recommended to this after watching the kids soccer team in Thailand

    • Airwipe same dude, except this is a more interesting story Although the soccer team in Thailand is sas, this... This is the good stuff.

  • who is here after the cave?

  • awesome

  • Imgaine having to diet to survive

    • guess i'll die

    • Research and Build They were down there for allmost two weeks with just emergency supplies for 2 days before they were discovered. They devided their food in such a way that they had food until day 13, and their relieve came when the rescue team from above reached them a few hours later. So yes they were on a hectit diet

  • distraction

  • Imagine being the last one saved, must be creepy being alone for even just a minute down in those depths

    • Imagine like they where last people to see what it was like

    • antonio sevilla ?

    • +Marco Espana beta

    • Alpha lol

    • Marco Espana oh shit, you've won the argument, he went quiet

  • guess they are getting tired of grapefruits.

  • This kinda resembles a futurama episode..

    • Im pretty sure.

    • JunkVideos The helium mine collapse?

  • You guys see The 33

  • Two Olympic size swimming pools are almost 27,000 square feet.

  • You know addiction is a powerful thing, when I was addicted to pain killers thanks to my Drs and all this was going on I remember thinking how could I get high down there I’d panic. I’m glad I got off those.

    • KB’s Creations. Thank you Sirr I know it was kinda a weird ramble thought but I figured the people that get it would get it and those that don’t won’t.

    • Riley Senn I get it dude, and so do these assholes. They’re just trolling

    • Jeradh 2. It’s related to the video in the context I described, most people wouldn’t be thinking about getting their medicine if they got trapped in a mine thousands of ft bellow the earth so I was saying that while all this was going on I remember watching the news and thinking I’d panic because I couldn’t get my pain meds that was one of the things that let me know I had a problem so I ended up quitting on my own. So I understand it’s a weird thought but it was about addiction an addict would understand what I was getting at,1 of the miners was actually an alcoholic and was going through withdrawals down there I guarantee he was more worried about getting a drink then his family or even dying at first. Idk if you smoke cigarettes but if you do imagine being in jail and not being able to smoke it’s one of the shittiest parts at first yes you want to be free but you really really really just want a cig 1st.

    • Yung Draco. Smh hard for me to talk to someone that goes by young draco but I injured myself ,it all starts with the Drs I never went to heroin or nothing thankfully and I was able to stop pain killers on my own even tho my drs would still happily write me monthly prescriptions,I was on pain management for a chronic issue.

    • Riley Senn why is this anything related to the video at all?

  • Ram

  • R

  • You'd think there would have been escape tunnels installed before miners were even allowed work in it...to facilitate a quick rescue when a disaster strikes

    • Too expensive lmao

    • Yeah, I'm not an expert, I was just posing a thought. Maybe rescue pre-built rescue tunnels are not even possible

    • Oh Mr Sarcastic , What's with the attitude? I was just posing a thought. Trigger warning: If you can't handle opinions and suggestions then stop reading the comments section of BR-tv - it's full of them

    • Mayur Aggarwal both; he said tunnels, as in multiple. However, it would always be to the left on the safe room, as the safe room is still the very end of a constructed tunnel. However he isn't taking in to account how the rescue hole would effect the integrity of the rest of the cave systems.

    • MJ D oh Mr. Nostradamus pls advise which side to have drilled the hole

  • All boys are brave...

    • +3zk1I_ It's true, gays are weak.

    • Fucking homophobe

    • Pragnesh Patanwadia except gays

    • Julia Hug Go watch: Women try to survive in the wild.

    • Pragnesh Patanwadia how about girls!?!

  • The last guy down there must of had a long 15 minutes

    • He kept telling the second last guy to not forget to tell them that I'm still down here. Don't be going straight home man , wait for me because you are my ride home man . The second guy be like : Yo chill man I would not do you like that man we homeboys .

    • Telmen Bayarsaikhan But then that rescue worker is the last man down there

    • There were rescue workers down in the mine helping the miners into the elevator. So the last guy would probably have been a rescue worker

    • Really 45 has 15 up and down for the second to last guy lol

    • 30 minutes lol

  • What is wrong with metric?

    • American advertisers who bought commercial spots in CBS's newscast are sponsoring the production. American TV audiences who buy the products and services of these American advertisers are their revenue stream. Viewers on BR-tv outside the USA are not part of this revenue stream and are getting a free ride.

    • Well, Americans aren't the only people interested in this incident.

    • gamaliel sendy It's American broadcaster CBS who made and aired this video for an American audience.

    • gamaliel sendy It's Un-American!!!!! Ha!!!!

  • I bet the miners thought only a crazy person would actually come down the hole. To where they were

  • This is an annoying video. Just CBS animations? Long pauses in between. Annoying format here.

    • You do realize how old this video is right?

    • So sorry you had to watch this agonizing video

    • It helped me understand what was going on just fine so I don't see your problem?

    • joe jose You wouldn't even know.

    • Andrew G br-tv.net/tv/video-zmxHadDsyp8.html the powers that be don't want to use these kind of equipment those boys could have been out in 20 minutes for the end of the day instead they want to milk a tragedy for all it's worth courtesy of network advertising and whatnot that's how they roll the powers-that-be The Illuminati's they going to milk it for everything it's worth

  • Thai cave tragedy brought me here.

  • No one called bruce willis?

    • brock dickens Sarah Palin: "Drill baby, drill".

  • *MINING AWAY*

  • This rescue itself was an engineering feat.

    • Michael lo, they did in fact miss at 2 occasions and only got third time lucky, which is not mentioned here. It is in fact an engeneering marvel as the mapping system of that mine was way out of date and new maps had to be drawn with existing data. They also had to relocate the drilling station. The final hole was drilled at about 800yards deep into a tunnel of about 10 feet wide and best of all its not even drilled streight down. Because of ground instabilities the hole had so be drilled a few degrees off vertical down. That is some serious mathematics and skill to keep that thing in course. Something neither of the companies involved has done to this extend.. these engeneers, scientists and all involved rewrote history, science, mathematics and geography as we know it, which is something done well.

    • steve b remember the tunnel isn’t very wide, and nothing like this had ever been attempted

    • Tangsang Limbu I was thinking the same what if they went off track and missed thier target they would have to restart but these engineers are badass and know what thier doing

    • Richard Dawson Yeah.. That's why they had THREE holes!!!!! Just dig a LOT of holes, you WILL find them.

  • PLEASE BRING TO THAILAND NOW!

    • They would have to drill a 1 km (3200 feet) hole which takes too long to rescue them. Heavy rain will be the big deadly problem which will occur in the next few days

    • Ketchupboyz Sorot.T this is what they need!

  • Bathroom????

    • +SageSJ50 pre prepared toilet paper

    • how do they wipe

    • the mine entrance is blocking by a massive rock and i guess there is still a bathroom nearby they're trapped on a huge part of mine which is have a bathroom for workers not on a cave

    • Kneecoal just walk a few hundred feet down the cave and take a big shit

    • Kneecoal stupid bitch

  • Greatest joint effort Chilean RESCUE of the 21st Century...

  • I just cannot fucking imagine what it was like to be trapped for 69 fucking days.

  • cbs=fake news=a-hole

    • What about this is fake news?

  • There better have been elevator music or something in there or I would of stayed down there is ain't doing no 15 minute elevator ride

  • I just watched the movie too I'm glad they were able get them all out

  • welldone

  • askin, In the movie, the first guy, got his capsule stuck in a somekind of toaster, then they fixed it by reversing it, then back forward then he eventualy got out, was that true?

    • Probaly not true, but what COULD have happened was a rock dislodge from the shaft wall and jam up against capsule. Up and down motion frees rock and continue capsule up shaft.

    • IdevsALot I don't think so, it's probably there to get viewers jump to conclusions

  • October 28 2010 San Jose Mine Demolished By CATPAD
