Soup dumplings fall in the category of "delicious things we love to order when we're out, but would never even dream of making at home." Until now, that is. This dim sum staple may seem complicated, but it's really just made from three separate components: the dough, the filling, and the soup. Where things get tricky is in the process of sealing the dumpling with a series of intricate folds. Don't worry: We've got step-by-step video instructions and a tutorial on how to do it.

  • Not too hard to make, but some of those ingredients definitely aren't easy to get. Pork feet no problem if ordered in advance, but I'm not sure if I even can order pork bones and skin at the butcher.

  • As a Chinese who had lived in Shanghai and Hong Kong for years. For the god sake, soup dumplings are not dim sum. They are from different regions with a 1,200 km (750 miles) distance in between. Please respect the Chinese food culture and bring some correct information to the internet. If I had say something like "Chianti is one of my Champagne" I 'm probably going to piss off lots of French and Italian friends. Same here.
